Welcome to NKT TRAUME - The Norwegian National Advisory Unit on Trauma
NKT Traume was established 1 May 2013. The mission is to ensure equal high quality of the treatment of seriously injured throughout the whole country, regardless of age, sex, and homeplace.
NKT Traume works with the whole chain of emergency care for seriously injured trauma patients – from the accident scene, first aid, emergency services and advanced prehospital emergency care, local hospital, trauma centers, rehabilitation, and to the following up of the patient’s experiences.
The Advisory Unit is localized at the Trauma Centre at Oslo University Hospital, Ullevål. Torben Wisborg is MD DEAA and The Head of NKT-Traume. Tone Slåke is Coordinator and Head of Office for NKT-Traume. Read more!
ATLS is an advanced training program for medical providers in the management of acute trauma cases. NKT Traume is responsible for arranging the ATLS courses in Norway.
