The Norwegian National Advisory Unit on Trauma (NKT Traume) has a staff of tree employees, Torben Wisborg, Tone Slåke and Stina Tuck. NKT Traume is localized at the Trauma Centre at Oslo University Hospital, Ullevål. The Advisory Unit also consists of a network of regional Trauma Coordinators and assists Norway from north to south, and from west to east.
A Reference Group of eight professionals is associated to The Advisory Unit to secure the same availability and to contribute in increasing the competency nationwide. The group’s mandate is to secure that The Advisory Unit is organized and operated in line with the criteria enshrined in the regulations (Forskrift nr. 1706).
Torben Wisborg is MD DEAA and The Head of NKT Traume. He is an Anesthesiology Specialists, Senior Consultant at Hammerfest Hospital, and a Professor II at the Institute of Clinical Medicine (IKM) at UiT the Arctic University of Norway.
Tone Slåke is Head of Office and Coordinator for NKT Traume. She is a Registrated Nurse, and has worked with courses for medical staff in The Norwegian Air Ambulance since 2004. She is also the National Coordinator for ATLS Norway.
